1. iBERRY ICE-CREAM
Famous in northern Thailand, iberry ice-cream serve plenty of variety of ice-cream and coffee. Located in Nimanhaemin Road, iBerry is an interesting place with a lot of photo spots. Although it is over-rated/hipster area to the locals, its still provides a great environment to just chill and enjoy your dessert. If the weather fine, you can sit in the open or relax in the hammock on the premises. Don’t miss it!
2. DOI SUTHEP
Located 15 km from Chiang Mai city center, this mountain stands at 1,676 m. From the peak of Doi Suthep, there are views of Chiang Mai city and its surroundings from the top of this mountain.
3. SUTHEP TEMPLE (Wat Phra That)
This famous temple is located on top of a hill around 1,060 m forming Doi Suthep. The temple itself is breathtaking. You can climb the 306 step staircase to get to it or ride the tram.A great site with tons of worshipers. Get to know the daily buddhas

4. MON THA TAN WATERFALL
Going down Doi Suthep , i came across this waterfall featuring multiple levels, with a scenic swim holes at its base.Revitalize by swimming in the cold waters at the waterfall. I’m not too sure how many level there are in this waterfall as visitors have to leave before 1630pm.
5. ROOT ROCK REGGAE BAR
The nosiest bar on the street. This reggae bar is the best in Chiang Mai. The crowds are great and definitely worth a visit even though you are not a fan of reggae.Worth a try!
6.DOI MON CHAM
Located at Mae Rim, slightly northwest of Chiang Mai City.This place provides nice huts where you can get a good meal (Northern-Thai food) with a nice view. The Atmosphere is more than perfect. You could see the panoramic views of the mountains and the beauty of the nature.
7. DOI MON TAWAN
An underrated mountain to backpackers but famous among the locals, located further up Doi Mon Cham, this place is magnificent. I’m lucky enough to get a home-stay at the top of the mountain. What is more awesome than getting to see the sunrise and sunset from the top of mountain? Living the local life, get the feel of the cold nights and morning breeze.Simply the moment you got to experience!
During the peak season on December. You are able to just tent here for a price of 100 baht per night! Just remember to bring sufficient snacks when you are heading here.
8. DOI ITHANON
The father of all mountains in Thailand. The highest mountain in Thailand standing at 2,565 m. If you love chill places, you got to go up this mountain. One of the unique mountain in Southeast Asia due to its climate. The climate is typically tropical and fairly cold on the summit. In winter the average temperature is 6°C and temperatures can sometimes drop below 0°C . From March to June, temperatures are pleasant especially at higher altitudes. The rainy season runs from April to November, sometimes it rains often more than 2 hours per day. At the peak, you could see the leaves and grasses are half frozen. Please be prepared for the climate change and standby your cold-wear when ascending the summit.
9. THE TWO STUPAS
Naphamethinidon and Naphaphonphumisiri, two stupas near the summit of Doi Inthanon. Unfortunately, its was raining heavily when i reached there. It was raining and foggy till I couldn’t see a thing. A chance wasted to see the beauty of the stupas. Well, you couldn’t control the weather when you are travelling. It is still a good experience to be up there.
10. KHAO SOI
